Enough of the history, we will like to point out the effect cannabis has had in our generation much less our world, cannabis smoking has become an integral part of our community that some countries legalize its use both for recreational and medical uses as well as spiritual, it has been found out that some sportsmen and women who were in their prime could not do without the use of cannabis or else they wouldn’t be able to perform at dizzying heights that they have been accustomed to. As well as destroying the immune system of most humans it has taken control of, it has also been found that cannabis or marijuana use has been largely growing despite tighter controls being implemented by the government in form of laws.
Medicinal uses of marijuana include for the treatment of epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, Crohn’s disease, Glaucoma among others. But marijuana use has been largely known for its abuse most especially among youths. Among effects of marijuana are the following;
- Increased appetite and thirst
- Impaired judgment
- Problems with memory
- Symptoms of withdrawal after long-term use
- Temporary paranoia and hallucinations.
It is also not news that for those under 25 years of age, marijuana use can impair memory and learning ability which begs the question, why do we still indulge in these things that we are very sure of its side effects and we know might kill us someday?
