What comes to your mind when you see the word “GHETTO”? Well, I grew up in the ghetto, it was crazy but it was helpful. At a very early age, I already knew the basics of life. Smoking, Drinking, Sex, Money, Relationship and most importantly God. I learnt everything on the street,my life is still shaped around the Ghetto.

“What do I mean by Ghetto love?” My favorite artist is about to drop a song with the same title and when I saw the post a lot crossed my mind. Ghetto love is literally poor love or low quality love between people of the same race, religion, or social background, often because of discrimination, narcissism and poverty.

Discrimination is a disease that disorganise the structure or function of humans. Man’s skin has many colors, but the human blood is generally known to be red. Irrespective of the color whether black or white they all shed salt tears. There is only one nationality in the world, which is mankind. Each of us can practice treating each other without discrimination, respecting each other’s dignity and rights. The xenophobic attack on foreigners by the South Africans is too bitter.
“Please educate yourselves, the kids, the youths! We all are humans before anything else.” Humans!” And most importantly “Africans” Wizkid.

Narcissism is a personality disorder that includes thinking very highly of oneself, needing admiration, believing others are inferior and lacking empathy for others. When people complain about the government, the government consist of humans not robots. These are people who think highly of themselves and it didn’t start when they got into offices, the signs has always been there. The paramount condition for the achievement of loving equally is the overcoming of one’s narcissism (self love). The opposite pole to narcissism is objectivity; it is the reasoning faculty that sees other people and things as they are, objectively, and to be able to separate this objective picture from a picture which is formed by one’s desires and fears.
The faculty to think objectively is reason; the emotional attitude behind reason is that of humility. To be objective, to use one’s reason, is possible only if one has achieved an attitude of humility, if one has emerged from the dreams of omniscience and omnipotence which one has as a child. Love, being dependent on the relative absence of narcissism, requires the development of humility, objectivity and reason.

I must try to see the difference between my picture of a person and his behavior, as it is narcissistically distorted, and the person’s reality as it exists regardless of my interests, needs and fears.
