Manchester United early pre-season plans have been overshadowed with reports that Paul Pogba wants to leave the club amid interest from Real Madrid.

The French international has travelled on United’s pre-season trip to Australia but controversy may have already struck.

reports that Pogba appeared to clash with team-mate Jesse Lingard as the club enjoyed a walk on their first day in Peth.

In a clip shared by Manchester United’s official Twitter account, Pogba seemed to be pulled away from Lingard by defender Victor Lindelof.

Lingard looked far from happy as Pogba seemed to take a step towards. The defender put an arm around Pogba and got between the pair before the footage moved on.

Fans have now suggested that there was nearly a confrontation between the two players.

Pogba seemed to suggest a move away from Manchester United was possible last month, saying: “There is a lot of thinking [going on

“I have been three years in Manchester and have been doing great – some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody, like everywhere else.

“After this season and everything that happened, with my season being my best season … it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.”

Spurs will be hoping that the latest developments speeds up Pogba’s move to Real Madrid instead of Eriksen.
