The administration of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti on Thursday suspended execution of its new duty strategy and introduction of essential six testaments by its staff.
The choice was come to after EKSU the executives, under the administration of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun, met with the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) of the college over the disputable issues.
The gathering pursued a challenge by NASU individuals on Thursday against the new assessment system and the introduction of essential six endorsements by the staff.
The laborers in their huge number blockaded the passageway to the managerial square to press home their demands. They claimed that the new assessment system was 70 percent and to be actualized financially past due, portraying the activity as an exploitative strategy.
An announcement by EKSU Head, Directorate of Information, Bode Olofinmuagun, said the “administration has chosen to put on hold the two issues”.
As indicated by him: “The executives consented to meet with the national initiative of NASU to further think on the hazy areas, especially pestering on the introduction of elementary school leaving declaration and usage of the new expense system”
