Which One Is Better: A V-Neck Or A Crew Neck T-Shirt?

A question that I often get from men is which type of t-shirt is better: a v-neck or crew neck?

Well, with warmer weather just around the corner, I figured that I would take the opportunity in this article to answer that question.

First, regardless of whether your t-shirt is a v-neck or a crew neck, the most important factor above all else is fit. If a t-shirt doesn’t fit your body then it won’t look good, period. I don’t care if it’s a v-neck, a crew neck, or a $300 designer t-shirt you got for Christmas. Fit is still the most important aspect.

However, once you’ve addressed any issues with fit, then you can move on to the next question: whether you should go with a v-neck or a crew neck. Personally, I favour the v-neck t-shirt for two very basic reasons:

  • The natural shape of the v-neck t-shirt does a great job of framing your face, which is exactly what you want it to do. Remember, your clothing should always bring attention to your face.

  • Secondly, a v-neck t-shirt shows off a little bit of your chest and if you’ve been spending time in the gym this is a great way to highlight your hard work without walking around in a tank top 24/7.

Lastly, and this sort of follows from the initial two points, a v-neck t-shirt just looks a hell of a lot better when it is worn underneath something like a cardigan.

Don’t believe me?

Let’s explore a case study.

In the following image we have Daniel Craig wearing a v-neck t-shirt paired with a classy shawl collar cardigan and some dark denim jeans:

Although it’s hard to say for sure if Daniel Craig is wearing a v-neck t-shirt in the image (I think it could easily be Henley as well), the end result is still the same: he looks bad ass.

Now compare that look to something like this:

While he certainly doesn’t look awful here, I still think it’s fairly obvious that the first outfit looks much better on him.

The problem with the second look is that the combination of the crew neck t-shirt and a completely buttoned up sweater makes him look overly stiff and reserved. Contrast this with the example above in which Craig has left a couple of buttons undone on his cardigan and is showing a bit of his chest with the v-neck t-shirt/Henley. He looks rakish, rugged, and eminently masculine.

Now do you see why I favour the v-neck t-shirt?

How deep should my v-neck t-shirt be?

Ideally, I wouldn’t go any deeper than what you see Craig wearing in the first example. That is an ample amount of male cleavage to be showing.

Honestly, the last thing you want is an aggressively cut v-neck t-shirt that literally exposes your sternum. It may be a look that’s trendy right now, but most guys won’t be able to pull it off convincingly.

What if I have chest hair? Can I still wear a v-neck t-shirt?

As long as you are well groomed and keep the hair maintained, then I see no problem wearing a v-neck t-shirt if you have a hairy chest; and if you are still overly concerned, then opt of a v-neck t-shirt that isn’t cut too deep.

Are crew neck t-shirts really that bad?

Not at all, and I don’t want to give you guys the impression that I think you should NEVER wear one.

Just remember that if you are going to opt for a crew neck t-shirt make sure that it fits and doesn’t have any obnoxious logos on it. My only other recommendation would be to NEVER wear a crew neck t-shirt underneath a cardigan. As the Daniel Craig example above illustrates, it’s just not a good look.

On the other hand, a crew neck t-shirt worn on its own with a pair of jeans and a lightweight jacket is still a classic look that will get you plenty of attention. Just remember to not tuck in your t-shirt like a dweeb.

Final Word

While t-shirts are an indispensable item in any man’s wardrobe, they confer a particular advantage to guys who are already in shape.

That’s because a well fitting t-shirt is one of the best ways to display all of your hard work in the gym, provided that you choose wisely.

And the best way for a well built man to cash in on the t-shirt is by focusing on the fit, eschewing any and all obnoxious logos, and choosing a v-neck cut.

With the warmer weather just around the corner it will be t-shirt season before you know it. Make sure you choose wisely.

some effective tips to get pink lips for men
Men are not now like that before when my father or grandfather did not care about their grooming. Today’s boys and men are smarter than those of vouge. Now they like to prepare their every public part of the body from hair to toe. So, why your lips do not get extra care as they are the attention-grabbers.

Men’s lips are usually less reddish than girls. Many men smoke. It is a common reason for their dark lips. The cigarette leaves a dark hue on their lips. Men also move more in the sun rays. The sun rays burn the delicate skin of the lips and so their lips also become dark. And men are shy to keep a lip balm always with them that every girl doesn’t miss anywhere. Check their bag and you will find more than one.

2. Exfoliate Your Lips

Exfoliation lightens the lips. Scrubbing removes dry skin cells on the lips. So, lips look neat, clean, even and bright. Exfoliate the lips once or twice a week but not more than two times. The best time to scrub the lips is in the morning (before going outside) and night (before bedtime). Now the question- what are the good lip exfoliants or scrubs?

Sugar and Honey: Mix an equal amount of sugar and honey. Apply this mixer on your lips. Then massage your lips politely for 2 minutes.

Soft Toothbrush: During brushing your teeth, just rub your lips softly. You see, it removes the dry and dark skin cells. The first time, you feel uneasy and irritation on your lips. Gradually, it will be okay.

3. Use A Lip Balm 24/h

Dryness builds up dead skin cells, dark spots, wrinkles, and darkness on the lips. Even, your lips can be cracked, chapped or bled for severe dryness. Using a lip balm keeps your lips always protected and moisturized.  So, the best step is to moisten the lips with a good lip balm. Search the internet, you will get lots of moistening creams or balms.

Use the lip balm whenever you feel dry or tight lips. I follow lip balm after cleansing my face in the morning and must apply some Vaseline before going to bed. Vaseline is powerful moisture to keep the skin hydrated.

Home Remedies

You will get many home remedies that will make your lips naturally pink. Such as- rose petals, cucumber slices, beetroot juice, carrot juice, lemon juice and so on. You don’t need to apply all these natural ingredients. Just use one remedy out of them.

So, you will have soft and smooth lips from morning to night. Honey is also an anti-aging agent. It helps to make your lips healthy and young.

No doubt, rose petals give a nice-looking rosy color on the skin after applying. Rose petals are also anti-oxidants that means it protects your lips from being aged and various risks. Crush some rose petals and mix some milk with it. Now prepare a paste. Apply this solution on your black lips. Rub your lips with it for 2 minutes. Then wash your lips off. Now see your lips are brighter with natural red color. Thus, you can get pink lips, men!!!

6. Lemon Juice for Bright Lips

It is a natural bleaching and anti-aging property. Lemon juice bleaches dark patches and dark spots on the lips. When you get time, just pat your lips with lemon juice. You should do it at least once or twice a day. Gradually, it will remove dark lines, wrinkles or any other brown spots of your lips. (be careful lemon juice can dry out your lips, so use a lip balm afterward)

7. Also, follow these tips to make your lips pink

  • Drink 10 glasses of water a day.
  • Don’t lick your lips when you feel dryness on the lips. Keep a lip balm always.
  • Eat lots of watery vegetables and fruits, like cucumber, pineapples, etc. These fruits keep the skin juicy and hydrated. Also, the skin looks glossy.
  • Don’t take more than 3 cups of tea or coffee a day.

Finally,

Avoid smoking, drink less cup of tea or coffee, avoid taking alcohol, use SPF lip balm, use some home remedies and always keep your lips moisturized. Then you will get soft, plump, sexy and kissable lips.

Fashion Trends That May Affect Your Health

Killer Heels Kill Feet

High heels can bring the “wow” factor to an outfit. But for the sake of your feet, back, and posture, save the killer heels for special occasions.

Wearing heels more than three times a week shortens the muscles in your calves and back and can lead to chronic pain and muscle spasms. Toes forced into narrow shoes are a recipe for nerve damage and bunions. Heels also tilt you forward, putting pressure on your spine and increase the risk of sciatica.

For everyday wear choose flat shoes or dress shoes with a wider toe area and a less angular wedge. Go barefoot around the house or on weekends. See your doctor at the first sign of any foot, leg, or back pain.

Playing Russian Roulette With Contacts

Changing your eye color or adding cute (or scary) effects to your eyes could be seen as the ultimate fashion accessory. But the bottom line is, decorative contact lenses need to be cared for and cleaned just like normal contact lenses.

If you share them with others or don’t clean them properly you will get an eye infection. FDA-approved decorative contact lenses require a prescription from an eye doctor in the U.S. Many online contact lens sellers are fraudulent and their quality control practices may not be up to scratch.

Only buy fashion contacts from an eye care professional, and learn the proper cleaning and wearing method. Your eyes are important. Take care of them.

Jeans With Too Much Squeeze

Shapewear, spanx, and other types of compression underwear help mold our body into a better shape for that body hugging dress or those skinny jeans.

But our bodies are not designed to be extremely constricted. Too-tight garments can compress nerves leading to pain, numbness and tingling.

Waistbands or belts that are uncomfortable around the tummy can cause reflux. Holding on too long before going to the bathroom because you can’t get your shapewear off has caused yeast and bladder infections in some women.

Treat your tight garments like high-heeled shoes. Save them for occasional special events and take them off as soon as you get home.

Full-Lipped and Wrinkle-Free, But Do It Wrong And Scarred For Life

Dermal fillers like Juvederm are a popular, nonsurgical way to rejuvenate your face.

Quick and easy, you can plump out those wrinkles and lips in just a few minutes. However, severe allergic reactions, permanent scarring, disfigurement, and blindness have occurred with dermal fillers. Most of these horror stories come from people who have purchased illegal products online and then self-injected them.

If you choose to use dermal fillers, don’t allow anyone that is not a trained or experienced professional to perform the injections. Check that they only use FDA-approved dermal fillers. Anything else is not worth the risk.

Botoxed Up. Emotionally Down and Out.

Botox contains botulinum toxin, a deadly poison. Yet each year, millions of doses of Botox are injected into the faces of American men and women. But does mainstream mean safer?

Potential side effects include allergic reactions, droopy eyelids, and muscle spasms. Botox also restricts our facial expressions which can affect the way emotion is displayed. In recent years the drug has become popular with teenagers wanting to achieve that “plastic” look shown by some celebrities. Experts are concerned that use in teenagers may in turn affect their confidence if they can’t express emotion, which is why Botox is only approved in adults for cosmetic purposes.

Piercings And Tattoos: Choose Reputable And Hygienic Artists

Almost 40% of people under the age of 40 have a tattoo, and at least 25% of them regret it.

Tattooing pushes ink into the dermis, and any procedure that breaks the protective barrier of the skin provides an entry point for bacteria as well as viruses. Small localized infections around the site of the tattoo can easily spread into surrounding skin areas and become cellulitis, or spread to the blood stream and cause sepsis.

Allergies have also been reported to tattoo ink, and equipment or surroundings that are not properly cleaned can transfer viruses such as hepatitis C and HIV. Transmission of leprosy, syphilis, tuberculosis and warts during tattooing has also been reported. When done badly, both piercings and tattoos can scar.

Choose your body artist wisely. Ask what their sterilization procedures are and check their brands of ink are from a reputable supplier. The more you can lower the risk of getting an infection, suffering an allergic reaction, bleeding or scarring, the better.

The Big Squeeze: Waist Training

Waist training uses corset-like contraptions to mold your body into a slimmer figure, achieving that much-desired hour-glass look.

Corset-wearing first became fashionable in the 18th and 19th century, but in 2017, it experienced a resurgence in popularity with celebrities such as the Kardashians promoting waist-snatching devices.

But wearing a super-tight device around your waist comes with several downsides. Waist training places pressure on internal organs such as your liver and bowel and compresses your lungs making breathing difficult. Skeletons of corset-wearing women from Victorian times showed skeletal changes in the spine. Waist training will also not permanently reduce the amount of fat around your middle; as soon as you take the corset off, your body fat redistributes itself back to normal.
