How to prevent and treat sweaty and smelly feet and shoes

A. Wash your feet with an antibacterial soap once a day.

B. Change your socks (ideally wool or cotton, not nylon) at least once a day.

C. Keep your toenails short and clean, and remove any hard skin with a foot file (it can become soggy when damp, which provides an ideal home for bacteria).

D. Using a spray deodorant or antiperspirant on your feet.

E. Wash your feet thoroughly
The bacteria on your feet just keep multiplying, so you need to be washing your feet in the shower to help combat the embarrassing odor. Don’t forget in between your toes. Rinse, and when you get out of the shower be sure to completely dry your feet and toes again before slipping on your shoes. Why?

F. Don’t wear the same shoes two days in a row
Why? Back-to-back days does not give your shoes enough time to completely dry out from the previous day’s wear. So be sure to rotate your collection so as not to repeat day after day.

G. Try socks for sweaty feet
Some sports socks are designed to keep feet dry, and you can get special antibacterial socks.
